Fota’s Bakestone Café is the perfect spot to relax with a coffee and enjoy local produce fresh from our kitchen garden!
After exploring the gardens or taking a tour of Fota House, take time for coffee and cake or a delicious meal at our friendly Bakestone Café. Have a snack and conversation with friends after a winter woodland walk or dine outside to enjoy views across our gardens on a fine day!
We keep things local with Badger & Dodo coffee and Barry’s tea (of course!). And everything from our freshly made cakes, seasonal soups, and brown bread, to more substantial fare, is prepared with wonderful fresh produce and local artisan ingredients, drawn where possible from our Victorian working garden.
Accessibility
Bakestone Café is fully wheelchair accessible, and there is an adapted toilet on the ground floor of the house.
Café Opening Hours
Bakestone Café is currently open every day from 11am to 4pm.
Our Fota Gift Shop: Home-Made and Hand-Made
In our gift shop, you’ll find Fota’s own range of jams and dressings made here on the Estate, using produce fresh from our kitchen garden. We also have a lovely selection of cards by local artists on offer, alongside Irish books and gifts, for you to choose from!
Food Hygiene and Safety
All staff have completed food hygiene training, and training in COVID-19 safety protocols. Bakestone Café has been awarded the Fáilte Ireland safety charter.
